An innovative programme to develop the individual and assist in school improvement.
Matching learners who want to work in Education and Training in placements that want to help support their staff.
The programme is part of the Apprenticeship programme and will involve the learner achieving an NVQ at level 2 or 3 in Business Administration or Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools, with the programme incorporating Technical Certificates, Personal Learning and Thinking Skills, and Employment Rights and Responsibilities. Functional skills are also offered if the learner does not have the required C grades or above at GCSE level in English, Maths and ICT.
This programme can be considered as a ‘gap year’ for the learner, who may go on to University to study Teaching, or the learner may decide to change career aspirations and work in a different profession completely.
This is a very unique programme made to suit the needs of both the learner and the employer. Devised by The Learning and Training Academy’s founder, Richard, who has spent all of his working life in education and training, including positions as a Chairman of Governors in a school, a Training Manager and HoD in Further Education Colleges, plus having taught in Primary and Secondary education. With a BA (Hons), PGCE Advanced Diploma in Business Studies, A level 7 Certificate in Information and Guidance and a MA, Richard knows his field of work.
